Since I have never tried any kind of online business I am really doing this quit blind. I could really use some good advise on how and where to go to find advertising and assistance.

This is a loaded question but I will try to keep it short and sweet...

What you need to do is find social networking communities and message boards that allow you to create profiles. Most profiles allow you to add your homepage link. What you put there is a link to your page on MySpace. My page there is www.myspace.com/lifechanges for a good example. Set up your page at MySpace to be all about who you are as a person and make sure to include information about your business as well.

Now what you do is PARTICIPATE at the locations you found. You can find message boards at http://discussion.lycos.com that are in line with your personality and interests. Every time you participate your profile is visible and human curiosity causes others to click thru to your profile. If you are positioned in front of your target customers correctly then those people should see your business info and ask you about it or otherwise click to your site.

So basically you are joining sites all over the net, and then just participating in them. People with the same interests are easier to conversate with and much more likely to be motivated to work with you.

Also some of the sites offer free classifieds! Here is a list of the sites that I have found that offer profiles, etc...Only join sites with topics you can personally speak on or would like to genuinely learn about. NEVER TALK BUSINESS unless someone else asks you about it, and even then take the conversation off the boards and to your personal email instead.
