I am getting married in Baltimore County, Maryland. My future husband and I live in Harford County, Maryland and will continue to reside there following the wedding. So in which county must I apply for my marriage license?

This is a question better answered by a government official at the Clerk's office of your county. I was a marriage celebrant for my buddy's wedding and the marriage license was supposed to be purchased and registered in the county where you get married. Contact the Clerk's office in both counties and see. The Clerk's officers are very helpful and will have a better understanding of the legal implications.

I did the same thing, I married in a different county than I reside. I had to get my marriage license in the county in which I live.

You know what, with so many conflicting answers, I would call your local court house to be sure!!

you get the license in the county where you'll be married. not where you live. unless it's the same county.

I am in the same situation: live in one county and will get married in another one--just over the bridge from where we live!! I think, tho, that it would be the county where you will be married in. Check with the Clerk's office as they will know this.

i don't know if it really matters because its not like you're leaving the state. but so should apply for the county that you are getting married in.
