God is real. Eventhough, we experience difficulty in our lives, and do not always understand the things that we go through we have to say that God is real. It is evident that he exsist whenever we look at the awesome creation of nature. Scientist can explain the planets and stars, but they can not explain the beauty of the universe and its awesome respones to oneness. It is amazing how nature seems to have its own rhythm. The mountains, the oceans and the trees all seem to carry a peace that is not comprehensible to the human mind. When I stand at the ocean and observe its splendor I am convenced that God is real. When I touch a leaf and see its contents, and look at movement of the trees, I realize there is a God. When I see the bee pollen on the flowers and smell a garden of fresh roses. I know there is a God. Most of all , when I reflect upon my four pregnancies I recall the the awesome miracle of gestation and childbirth. The most awesome thing that I have ever experienced is the moment, I felt my first baby leap and even began to turn, and move from one side to the other in my womb. I cried, because I knew that only God can create such miracle. I realize, I will never know why life consist of so much pain, and so many unresolved answers, but I do know that God exsist. Because he exsist we can face whatever life issues. Because, it is God that gives us the power to over the issues and to face both the good and the bad things that we encounter in our lives.

God was presented to our culture as an individual when our race was very young. I don't believe God exists as a being. I think it is a Universal Energy that breaths life into every living thing. I think our essence is a part of that - imagine an energy existence. Each of us is the physical representation of our own Higher Self and we have come here for a very specific reason - to learn or experience something specific. And when we are done, this body will no longer be necessary and our essence will return to our group energy existence.

For me, this explains so much. We are all children of god (all a part of god if it is this Energy). The death myths are all just ways for us to transition from one existence to another. Hell is in our own minds - for with this existence comes self doubt, worry, fear - things that are inherent to this flesh as some might say.

In that sense, I would say it is very clear that yes, we walk and talk because some kind of energy flows through us - that is god.

This is a question with no answer. Asking if something is 'real' implies that it has been observed in a scientific manner. Religion is a "faith" based ideal and as such has no relationship to science. Either you believe or you don't. This is why the "Evolution vs. Creation" debate is essentially worthless. One is supported by empirical evidence, while the other relies that one just 'believe' in what has been presented to you. No true scientist will tell you that anything is "proven" to exist, only that there is evidence to 'support' a hypothesis...

I believe God is the metaphorical "white light" of our universe. Allow me to provide an example:

The scope our minds allow us to see things through is something like a prism. Everything we do requires us to separate, quantize, and define every single thing we come in contact with, much like a prism splits up light. Each person picks pieces of the light to align themselves with and other parts to totally reject. The real truth is that total "perfection" must encompass everything: a perfect love, a perfect hate, a perfect fear, a perfect respect... etc. Just as all of the colors in the world add together and become a perfect white. Conversely, if perfection is everything, it is also found in nothingness. The perfect emptiness in the vast spaces of the universe, and inside the atoms that make everything what it is.

I think the ultimate perfection is everywhere, just outside of the human grasp, but perfect for pondering. :)

Yes! But in order for you to believe you must have faith. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. I encourage you to pick up a Bible and read it. Most who say they do not believe in God have never read it. I hope you find him. I have and He has changed my life forever. Look around, how else could such a beautiful world have been created? By chance? Not a chance! Look in the mirror. Yep, He made you too. And know what else? He loves you more than you could even imagine. He wants to be your friend. He wants you to talk to Him and He wants to talk to you. Be open to believing in the only real truth.

I wouldn't listen to MakeSure. Since the Jehovah's Witnesses claimed:

Jehovah ends his sixth day of creation by fashioning Eve from Adam's rib. The seventh day of creation began in 4026 BCE and will last 7,000 years. Armageddon will occur in "the autumn of 1975, fully 6000 years into God's seventh day, his rest day." (April 1, 1968, Watchtower)

By the way, there is no god. Just thought I'd make that perfectly clear. Try reading the bible, it will convince you that religion is a bad, contradictory myth. Not to mention BLOODY.

God is a human term for the Universe. Humans just look for likeness, even-though the Universe contains all of the pieces a human possess. Looking in a mirror makes us feel something, good or bad, it makes us feel. The word 'God' does the samething, because it's like looking in a mirror.
