I think Walmart would probably be safest- or some other 24 hour store that is lit and always ppl around. park close enough to the store you are not too obvious what you are doing, but far enough away to be out of the way and you should be able to get away with it. lock your doors and only crack your windows. I think that would be safest, but it is still dangerous though. be careful.

my brother and i used to do that in 24 hour store lots, we found a place under a bridge next to an container dock that worked out well. We were working out of a union hall, and sometimes had to wait several days to get a job. I dont know why you are doing this, but it isnt my idea of a great time. It depends on where you live too, i actually felt safer in a public area, once i slept in my car in an alleylot next to a repair shop, i had out state plates but figured I wouldnt get hassled by cops if they thought it was there to be fixed. I got hassled by some guys breaking into it, which could also happen in a bright 24 hour shopping center lot to i guess.

Well if I were to live in my car, living in New Jersey, I would get a FREE players club card from one of the Atlantic City Casinos (showboat) which offers free parking if you have a players card. They are open 24/7, and the parking garages are well protected from the weather. I might drive out of the garage once a day, so it does'nt show you never left.
In your area, I guess any similar arrangement would be worth a try.
Sorry you have to live in your car.

First off i want to say that I do not recommend doing this at all as it could be potentially dangerous and there are shelters that will take you in at no cost in almost every city. But if you had to I would park in a lighted populated area such as a 24 hour supermarket or something simular and never park in dark secluded areas.
