That is the ultimate truth. If you are referring to relationships, and what you have is what you wanted at one point, why is it that people end up wanting something else? You have to hold onto those things that brought you together; and your relationship will last through the rough times.

Most definately. Different people have different values, which translates into different goals in life. Being filthy rich might very well grant me everything I want, but I don't want to be filthy rich, I just want to be happy-- which includes things that money cannot buy. There's no point in having something if you don't want it.

Yes...and Crosby, Stills, and Nash sang esentially the same thing MANY years ago: 'If you can't be with the one you love - love the one you're with...'
Or would that be more like 'It's not having what you want, it's having what you got'?
Hmmm....

Absolutely! With a little guilty pleasure on the side though. If I want a doughnut, I have one.

Sort of, There are times when I want something that I don't necessarily need or for that matter really want. It's just something to work towards I guess.....

yes because if you cherish what you have then you usually realize its exactly what you want, without even knowing it. and sometimes something you want wasnt really what you wanted after all.
