In the early '70s Puckett mostly retired from music to study acting. In the '80s he revived his music career on the oldies circuit. He's still touring to this day. You can find out more on his own website at garypuckettmusic.com.

Thanx for the info. I loved all their songs and I have them all. Gary was a great singer. Think I'll go put some on the stereo.

Just wanted to say, was wondering the same thing a few weeks back when I heard a few of Gary's songs played on the 'oldies' show...thanks for reminding me and to 'silicon' for the link, and "thanks for the memories". (Great voice, great band!)

He became a religious fanatic. He performs religious songs with his brother and pauses every 5 minutes to thank the lord for something.
