It's a possibility, depending on how long your cycle is. Sperm can also live for up to 72 hours once ejaculated, while the egg is only viable for 24 hours. Typically ovulation occurs somewhere around the middle of your cycle. If you miss your next period, the best time to test is at least two weeks after a missed period, and a blood test done by your doctor is the most accurate way of testing. There are several methods to know approximately when you are ovulating- measuring basal temp, noting your cervical mucus, using an ovulation predictor test, and using an ovulation microscope. Some people also use a combination of these methods, and there is also software that you can use to plug in your data, and it will tell you if you are ovulating or not. When you are ovulating, your vaginal mucous becomes clear and elastic.

While it is unlikely to get pregnant while on your period is CAN happen. There is NO time you can't get pregnant. The least likely time is while on your period BUT can still happen. I seen alot of people are saying no, not true. I don't know where these people get their information but it is VERY possible. Most women are most fertile 14 days after the first day of their last period if they have a 28 day cycle. Good Luck!

Yes you can get pregnant any time, it is a myth thatt you cant get pregnant on your period. Trust me i have 5 kids and on # 6( all planned)LOL. Best thing to do is chart your periods, go to any baby web site and they have charts you can fill out to tell you when you ovulate each month. Babycenter.com is a good one.

Yes! I did, and we were using birth control too....and I have a 5 year old to prove it. :-) There is always a risk of pregnancy with sex. Don't believe otherwise!
