Honestly, it's more a metaphor for sexuality. Vampires, for the most part, have been a sexual thing. Eternal youth, undying love, the hunger, bisexuality, take your pick. Some want to be a vampire because of its mythos. Others like the idea of being 'free' from normal society and rules. A few just dig the clothes and the mojo and quickly lose interest in time.
There's no right answer to this question, though personally I find vampirism to be over-rated. I prefer lycanthropy with its various references to Christianity and evolution.

No, its just a dream. Yes vampire do exist. You can become one if u know the secrets to the other world.

You could be bitten and convince yourself it was a dream, but that is unlikely. Besides, you are relatively safe from vamps unless you invite one in in some way. But you're probably fine.
