Almost certainly,even if they aren't putting it in any new trucks.
You'd be surprised at the number of very old designs they keep around as replacements or for other applications,like industrial use.

No, they quit making the 454 at the last redesign of the heavy duty chevy trucks, as in 3/4 ton and higher. The engine that replaced it is a 494 cubic inch engine that uses the same big block platform. There are still plenty of 454s out there from pickups though, as well as after-market engines.

I dont know where you all got 1989, because my grandpa has a mid 90's truck with a 454 stock.

Actually no they quit making the 454 big block back in 1989. They are very hard to find these days. Depending on what your use for it is, I would look on e-bay or try looking in auto-trader magazine or go to autotrader.com and check it out. There are a few sites that you can go check out and maybe find one for sell. Otherwise good luck, that is a rare diamond in the auto world. Good Luck!

they stoped makinng the 454 years ago and the only thing in cars nowdays are small block, but you can buy a crate engine through companies such as GM performance and world

Yes and no....in production vehicals no...but they are still being made as crate engines. i just looked and know for a fact GM performance parts make them and so do many other companies. Just go to one of these websites...

yes....available from aftermarket companies (also known as a crate engine) such as jeggs or summit racing. general motors stopped factory production a while ago and replaced it with the 8.1L
