I have too many answers so I'm going to put them all on here: Hilary Duff, even though she's a sweetheart she still loves Joel Madden!! There is Ashley Tisdale (alot of people don't know her), she does alot of Disney things she has a good eduacation all that sort of stuff. Jamie Lynn Spears her sister might not be so well but she is a very good role model for children. Well maybe I don't have very many but I still had some!!

Nobodys is perfect and stars should not conform to the moral minority or relgious nut blinkers parents view of whats sending out messages or assciated rubbish...
In fact trying to be same impotent fictional being who is never naughty, picks no fights and has a sex life worse then the pope is NOT a good role model nore is someone who does not grow up...
A good role model is one who tried to be fairly honourable and not to screw others unecessary. Who may get into fights but when justified. Who may drink even do the odd joint or minor drug use but sensibly, in small amounts and grow out of it like most.
And if things get out of hand ask for help.
But don't bullshit, try to be something they are or or what humans can't be to panda to the relgious unrealistic parents into some kind of neutered fluffy kitten as people are not like that.
Those who try wind up basket cases. Then on serious drugs or alcoholisim as highly depressed and stressed.

I always thought that Reese Witherspoon was a good role model for the young girls today. She's successful and talented, a good mother and wife, and you don't see her out partying and making a fool of herself. She dresses like a lady too and not like a tramp. All this, and she's a young woman. Kudos to her!

I think a good role model WAS hilary duff until she started dating Joel Madden, but they r a good couple and happy together.

That's an interesting question....because there aren't many.
Based in UK, I thought first of all David Beckham - but then there was the shananigans with the affair he's supposed to have had. Also, he's quite narcissistic.
Tony Blair? Well....depends on what you think of his strategy on Irac.
Nelson Mandela? Yes, that's a good one. But I guess he is quite elderly, so not all young people would think him cool enough.
How about the singer Pink? I like her song "Wanna be a stupid girl" She's highlighting the way young women think they should pretend to be stupid. I like the ideology behind that.
Some of Black Eyed Peas songs are quite deep.....
