I think that sometimes the darkness in that area of the skin can be caused by clothing rubbing against the skin. Don't use deodorant with ALUMINUM. Deep under your armpits are some very imporant glands and blood flow. Use caution with the way you treat the area..After showering use a moisturizer that contains A.H.A. "Alpha Hydroxy Acids" They are derived from sugar cane, or other fruits. Professional strength are available only to trained Estheticians. (Facialists). You are allowed a certain amount in the O.T.C (over the counter) products.

You can research the Net, and find information about enzymes, which help to exfoliate the skin. You know, get it to scram..leave town, take a hike.
The sun can also cause hyper-pigmentation. (brown discoloring) of the skin. That is the naturally occuring melanin in the skin, over producing. Sun block when daylight is around, even through your car window. It's not an easy task, even with stronger products..

Asking the question was the first step in getting to the end result. Good on you....

I don't know your race but you can go to your local beauty suppy store and look at their products. You can get some pure shea butter it stinks a lil' bit or you can get some that has a few additives to make it smell better that works for some people. You also should know what you are allergic to such as some ingredients that are in skin toning products. You can get the soap and cream to deal with your problem. Good Luck

I find, as a temporary fix to dark armpits is Baby Powder. Baby Powder is my miracle. You can put it virtually anywhere. I use it in the morning on my face. It is a great alternative to blush.
