you most likely have adware viruses on your computer.
try doing a system restore to a date before this problem started occurring.
I had this happen with itunes.
try doing a selective startup to see if that is the problem.
click start and click on run.
type in "msconfig" and select selective startup and uncheck load startup items.
click on the startup tab.
make sure all are unchecked
click the services tab and make sure only services created by microsoft are checked. if anything from another manufacturer is checked uncheck it.
restart your computer and try to open internet explorer.
if it opens now it means you have adware interfering with it on normal startup.
you will have to do a system restore to an earlier save date.

I will tell the scenario which you encounter in your system check whether it coincides with you If it is then its a Blaster virus Which you can easily fix it up

Scenario
1) When you open Your Internet Explorer a mini popup with a Stop symbol will appear with 30 or 60 seconds timeout and shutdown your system

Are you facing this problem then

Remedy:
------------
Connect to the internet if you are having any other browsers like firefox or opera then use it and goto

www.symantec.com and search for blaster viruses they will proivde you a stand alone exe file to fix the virus you are having. after downloading them run the exe file . it will search you system for the virus which you may have.

Even if the scenario does not match to what you are actually facing try to search for symantec.com with the situation you face they will provide you a solution.

NOTE: They also have a online scanning tool which will scan your system even if you dont have norton antivirus installed on your system or any other antivirus installed on your system

Could be your RAM card doesn't have enough MB of space causing it to quit programs to save space for other things your computer is thinking at the time

You need to manage your add-ons, it sounds like. I'm not exactly sure how to do it if explorer keeps shutting down, but it sounds like that's what your problem is.

it may be a virus attack.... if it destroys ur startup file or it indirectly alters tat file, it may cause this problem.... ensure ur com is updated wit virus definitions..... scan ur com twice to thrice per week.... i scan everytime i logged out of internet to ensure it's virus-free....
