I always speak to remove all doubt. If I remain silent then they are assuming I'm a fool. and you all know what happens when you assume. It makes an A$$ out of U and Me. I'd rather be just a fool then be a foolish a$$.

If you do not respect yourself and fain would be called or supposed a fool by all means keep the trap shut. But you have the slightest self-esteem which need not even be correct please speak out. May be you are a fool which will be revealed when you do talk but it has at lealt the advantage of knowing your limitations .Keeping quite may mean two things(1) You have a sneaking doubt that you may make a fool of yourself or(2) the non-exposure may lead you think that you are wise which may not be correct. At some time or other if you are exposed there would be no limit to your embarassment.

I'm someone who speaks and removes all doubt. I don't envy myself so, no it's not better. It's a curse I live with I can retain knowlodge and I'm forced by god to educate those who can't. Despite that mission I'm sent on by god I live a quiet life, otherwise. I do think the other alternative would be more effective but I'm the bull in china shop type. I'm the defensive back and not the quater back. He gets all the chicks I make all the blocks.

In either case you are seen as a fool. The best way is to be silent until you can think of an answer that is not foolish.

It is all depends on the situation. If you think for a partcular situation that speaking out is better to remove all doubts and could solve a problem then speak out your opinions. But if speaking out will create problems and better to be a dumb then donot through stones to make waves on a calm pool.

Be silent, because actually I think you appear smarter. Because the times you do speak, you speak intelligently and then that will carry you in the silent times.
