Okay, first relax. It is very common for young teens to have irregualr periods. This is a normal part of the hormomes regulating in your body. It will start to become mor regular in the next year. A calendar is handy to keep track. You will start to notice a pattern after a while if you pay attention.
** Most women don't pay attention to their bodies** You will crave sweets at times, salts at others and during the mid cycle sometimes you can have a slight tinge of discharge in your panties. Some cramping or headaches as well, so it is good to document these for your knowledge. This is a normal cycle anywhere form 21-30 days at first. If this is very upsetting after awhile they can try to regulate them using birthcontrol pills, these are taken everyday to get the periods on a more regular cycle. Then it is easy to plan around. Keep in mind that anytime you are stressed our, very ill or sexually active this can change and delay a period. If you decide to become sexually active please take care of yourself and get the recommended check ups as it is very easy to become pregnant and catch disease. Hep B is a leading disease people always think of HIV but this is less common than Hep B. You are the only one that will know you body so now is a good time to start paying attention to any signs and clues it gives.
Relax you are just growing up. your body will go through many changes again in your late teens later 20's after children and again in your 40's.
I am proud of you for finding anwers now not just from friends...keep it up.

Periods can be irregular...especially for someone young experiencing their first couple of periods. Stress can also prolong the start of your period. Your family doctor can put you on something if this continues to be a regular thing for you. But DO NOT worry. I'm 30 and I still have crazy periods!

You'll get it again trust me. I got my first period when I was 13, it lasted 11 days, and then I didn't get it again for nearly 6 months. Everyone is different. If you continue to have irregular periods you can go on the pill. It will help to regulate them and then you don't have to worry about little "accidents".

Dont worry sweetie i have a 15 yr old daughter and she is still not regular. It is very common for this to happen for the first year or so it is just your body's way of regulating its self, if your not sexually active dont worry unless you start having pains or other things that are not normal, then you should see a Dr. My daughters doctor suggested birth control pills to regulate her periods she chose not to but i have heard from many parents of her friends it helped alot. Hope this helps. :)

unfortunately you will get it again. my suggestion to you is for you to talk to your mother about this. she is a perfect person to ask about these types of questions.
b/c you are just starting your period it will be a bit crazy for a few years. so you may get it one month and then not get it for another 6 months! there are a lot of reasons why people don't get their periods....stress, weight loss/gain, amount of exercise, metabolism, hormones, etc etc can all cause you to not get it on time.
just go and talk to your mom and give it a few more days. there is no reason to be concerned. my period is not by any means regular. i get it one month and then don't get it again for another few months sometimes...i've been checked by a doctor and everything turns up ok...and i'm not having sex, so it is definately not pregnany. just relax and it will come.
