Anyone can father a child. It takes a real man to be a dad. A dad is someone who loves their child unconditionally and would gladly lay down to take the place of the child if they were hurt. A dad thinks about their child's future and can't wait for the 1st day of kindergarten. It is a bad idea to bring your child around many boyfriends. If you think this person is the one for you than it 's ok. A child gets attached very easily. Boyfriends come and go but the memory to a child lasts forever.

I'm assuming that you meant "definition"?
There is no definition for a Dad- They are all different but share some of the same wonderful qualities. A great Dad loves their children unconditionally, they are fierce protectors and providers- They are teachers and good listeners.
I think that if you're questioning bringing your baby around your boyfriend, then it's probably not such a good idea. Your boyfriend should have to earn the right to be a part of your's and your child's life.

A Dad is someone who is there for you at all times good and bad, he will love you , correct you when your wrong and praise you when your right. As far as the boyfriend If he truly loves you and that baby then I see no harm in it. And remember there is an old saying anyone can be a father, it takes a special man to be a dad

As long as he is not abusive and shows interest in the child it should be fine.
