I am not a soccer fan but becuz of world cup i try to keep an update., when i look up scores i see something like 2:1 (0:1). i know that 2:1 is the final score but what is 0;1? My guess is the score for the first half? Also what does CAP stand for when looking at a player's profile?

Yes, it is half time score.
Cap means that the player is the captain of the Team.
The final will be Brasil vs. Italy.
South Korea had a great come back, like Australia with Japan yesterday.

To clarify: if CAP follows the player's name it stands for captain (sometimes it is indicated with (C) too. If CAP follows a number, that means the games the player have participated.)

cap does not mean that the player is captain, it is like apperances. ex. Ribery from France got his 2nd Cap today, or his 2nd apperance for the French National Team.
