renewable energy,,, cleaner environment,,, education,,, health care,,, illegal immigration in favor of the American citizens, not the Mexican government,, or rewarding illegal behavior,, an attempt to restore peace and regain the respect from the world community that George W. Bush has squandered with his cowboy mentality, spreading instead of democracy to the middle East,,, hate and distrust.

Which element of the American left? It's not a single unified entity that has one single agenda with plans to conquer America.

Most leftist organizations barely have any sort of platform because they're so poorly organized. There are still Marxists, Maoists, Stalinist and anarchists but the majority of the Left is composed of college educated left-of-center pro-capitalist progressives.

The marxist left is pretty much finished in the United States. After the death blow against them in the upcoming elections, I expect this will spread to europe and beyond. Actually, it's already happening in many other countries.

If you define the "American Left" as the majortiy of people standing to the left of the current administration, then their plan is to control the damage inflicted domestically and internationally by 'W' and his boys.... other than that, I'll go with the previous poster...

BTW - the Religious Right is neither.....
