Slayer.....hmm. an interesting metal group. Now im really a metal head and i listen to them pretty often. But I wouldnt say their the best. Slayer is an all around good band but pretty basic, and metal is by no means basic or at least it shouldnt be. I really like it when a band can bring something new and unexpected to the metal scene, like when Dimmu Borgir used a 48 piece orchestra as backing in their newest album which has to be one of the all time best. Slayer has prolly the second best guitars Ive ever heard, the only group thats better would have to be children of bodom, their aint nobody who can rip it like alexi laiho. I like Slayer alot and as far as talent goes there arent many above them, the only thing i dont like about them is they arent anything unusual or cutting edge in the metal scene. However they are bold, talented, and crazy as hell!! keep rockin babe \_/ >< \_/. id give slayer a 8/10.

Don't care for them. Why? Because, I like to understand what I'm listening to. Not that I'm old fashioned, I'd just prefer to have a little more meaning than "rawr, mumble, rawr" or "hit me baby, one more time".
