This will be the first time that my boss visit my town, as i am an greenhand on this post. should i treat him a big meat to grasp his good impression on me?

Something you forgot to mention was who is your boss at the post where you are now. If you want to take your boss out make sure you're not stepping on anyone's toes, you don't want to create drama for yourself. Also are you in a position where you should offer to take him out or are you just doing it to try to get into a better position? He will most likely pick up on your motive. Well if you are in the position to do so then go for it. If you know what he is into, lets say sports, keep it casual and take him to a sports bar for a few drinks and food after work. Or you could go out to lunch, just give him a few options, describe each one and let him choose the place. Of course ask for the check at the end first and pay. If he insists on paying let him, he is the boss. Just keep your cool and don't be uptight. good luck

Yes, you should offer to take him to dinner.
Check with his assistant (if he has one) to find out his favorite type of food. If he doesn't have one, ask him, in advance, what he'd like to eat or what he'd like to see or do.
Then, make all the necessary arrangements: transportation, reservations, etc. (Pick a nice place-- but not ultra expensive)
You should reach for the check at the end of the meal.
Your boss should actually pay for it, since he's probably on an expense account (you could probably expense it too, though)
If he doesn't... it gives you some good information about him.

Don't let him think he is paying you too much. Go for macaroni and cheese out of the box and a can of beans. Maybe you'll get a sympathy raise. And a can of SPAM for the meat dish.

Being mature and elegant yes. Prepare yourself to treat him but if he chooses to treat you then do so . Make the gesture first.......that will probably be more impressive to him then actually doing it. RELAX............... if you try to hard he will see this and know you are being something you are not really . Enjoy your dinner and hope you have a good one.

You can offer to take him on a tour and go with him to dinner. Most big bosses have expense accounts so you shouldn't have to pay.

He should probably treat you actually. But yes, take him to a nice restaurant with great food and service to impress him.

You should make the offer; however, its more likely that he will treat you. If you're going to make the offer, you probably shouldn't expense it back to the company.

Impress a bit, but don't go over-budget please.

i dont think you want to give him a big meal... just take him out to lunch or something.. you dont want it to seem you want to make too good of an impression
