The Main blame will go to Wayne Rooney i agree. Also to the age of alot of their older players. I truly believe that they go into the world cup every year *** headed and thats their main problem.

whoever they are playing when they lose! Thing about England is whether they win or lose they blame other team and destroy the town. England has a bad history of fans destruction in places they play. Been penalized severely since 80's (can't play outside England etc) but doesn't seem to help their attitude. The fans did over a million dollars in damage to the channel train GOING to a game in Paris - I personally watched fans for an English team owned by Elton John turn over cars, smash windows, pull down street signs/lights, throw things - just destructive - in Kaiserslautern Germany - and THEY WON!! They were playing dirty, as usual, in game against Paraguay in WC - refs didn't call a lot of things they should have (hands, dangerous play, fouls)

Sven-Göran Eriksson!

He has been the whipping boy of England although statistically the team has performed better under him than under most predecessors. They are even getting rid of him prior to the tournament starting!

He is damned if they win and damned if they don't!
