I have a well that has not been used in 50 years, there is a water in it but looks to have a lot of junk( curious woodland creatures, and other types of forest waste) what must be done to get the well back in working order, I will not use it for drinking water.

why bother...?
If you are not going to drink out of it, why would you try....farm animal or irrigation...?
that said, I can share what little I know-
Recently I was involved in draining a small swamp-we wound up going to a rental supply and getting a water pump that was huge-4" inlet hoses sucked up and spit out all kinds of rotten debris, leaves,dirt,small rocks,etc-
this came with 2 long-(20') hoses that were hard to manage-but woa-what a job it did !
I do know that a deep well can be "shocked", cleaned up a bit- there are special tabs to drop into it-you could try calling a local well or pool supply and asking about shocking a dirty well & I bet they can order some of these for you or point you to a different local suppy-

Just pump it out and keep the water running for a couple of days. I have also poured bleach in the water first then pumped. After it has been pumped for a while (I left one pumping for three days) the water will clear up and can be tested for use.

A 50 year old should be cleaning themselves well.

Lower a child down into it (or a dog or cat). Call the fire department and they will be forced to clean it out to rescue the child/animal. Glad I could help!

Pump out the water first, then shovel all the soil and waste..
