Let's spin this a little bit.
2 men sitting in a boat, one turns to the other "You really hurt my feelings with what you saide a few mins ago."
Never happen...
2 men sitting in a boat, one turns to the other "Your last smart a$$ comment pi$$ed me off, pass me a beer."
Both guys still best friends and the issue is over. Never to be brought up again. If it went further like the 2nd guy shook up the beer so it would explode, the the first guy would hit him with a crank bait and the story told to friends and family would center on the crank bait, not the inconsiderate/rude/offensive remarks of the 2nd guy.

Now change that to a man and wife or 2 women, and you would have a woman with totally hurt feels, the man would be sleeping on the couch for a week if not longer (the woman friend would be cut off from communications for months), and the woman would be up in arms about what a shi# her husband(woman friend) was and how insensitive they are.

What's the problem. The woman will not let it go. With her man, with other men, with other women, with their mothers or sisters. Yes, tell us when we did something wrong, or hurt your feelings, or what ever, but don't hang on to it forever and drag it out and dust it off everytime there is an argument. To proudly show how put-upon you are as a woman.

Which way might make life better? Forgive and forget? Or hang onto the feelings YOU are feeling. Others aren't they are just reacting to the "improved" you and your current mental state.
Which way is better for you?

The answer is that men always make the rules. Women are to be subservient, chaste and perfect. If you do not meet those requirements, then you get a "reputation." This will never change completely.

They think its their god given right to do whatever they want whenever they want to. That mentality is changing little by little. Now that women are more and more independent things will eventually change......we hope.
