I'm one poet too.. a young one..
I find ppl staring in amazment at my face and smiling!
Anything wrong in beign one..
I usualy don't tell ppl I'm one

i think because poetry is so meaning full, artistic and of course deep.Everyone is not able to understand the real essence of poetry cause it may seem illogical to them.Poems are pure emotions of a poet and purity is directly related to love.Its not just about love affairs but love for poet is a very vast word.Poet like William Word Worth was in love with nature.He wrote an amazing poem on Daffodils.For us writing a poem Daffodils seems silly but he had the emotion of love and sensitivity in him.And of course a lover is always a dreamer.Lover always dreams about the moments he would spent or have spent with his love.I hope i made it quite clear to you.Thank

Because Poets are usually sensitive and easy to talk to...Artists,Songwriters,and Poets are usually very deep thinkers--else,they would have nothing to write about!!!..."Shall I compare Thee to a Summer's day?".....Phantom Poet

poets tend to be romantics, deep thinkers , introspective, have a strong imagination , and a idealized way of looking at life...we are in touch with our feelings, very observant of others and the world around us , and we write from our hearts and souls...

I think it's because in order to write poems you have to be in tune with both. Poets write what they dream about and what they love.

sometimes the words a poet uses can be touching and really amazing. you can use poetry to be in love, to be funny or anything. poetry can be uplifting and spiritually moving at times. I love poetry!!!

poetry comes from a diffrent mind ... than say a Banker. poetry can be romantic.a way to express feelings that most men have a hard time sharing. Or a way to court a woman...thus romantic!
