There was a saying of how do you make a small fortune in Thailand? Answer: Start with a big fortune. If you have a lot of money, you can probably get 10k off your investments in that time depending on your rates of return, but I'm guessing if you had that much money you wouldn't need the 10k that fast.
So how about:
1. Sell a bunch of stuff
2. Home equity loan.
3. Become Demi Moore's Boy Toy
4. Something illegal (lots of options to choose from)
5. Form a public company, tout the stock and sell out while telling your employees to buy more, knowing the company is just a shell headed for bankruptcy.
6. Take out life insurance policies on homeless people and kill them like those two old ladies did(that goes into the illegal catagory).
7. Get a compromising picture of (pick one) Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson or George Clooney and sell it.

We all would like to be able to make 10k in a few days but doesn't happen that way
