k i got a 2x core p4 3.4 ghz what is the registry edit for the full throttle if i want to take it out b/c my windows media player maxes out both chips and i think it has to do with the reg edit it was in a few diff mags i was reading at the time so i did it and i think thats what is makeing my computer get maxed out by runing wmp

Go to Start then RUN

Just type regedit to get to your registry keys.

I suggest you just go to this website:
http://www.download.com/Abexo-Free-Registry-Cleaner/3000-2094_4-10434887.html?tag=lst-0-7

And use this software to do a free registry clean.
Playing with the registry can do more harm than good if youre not careful.

I'd press Ctrl+Alt+Del, click on Task Manager, select processes, find Windows Media Player, right-click on it and either change the processor affinity to only one of the processors, or set its priority below normal.
