no. love is a feeling and you can't tell others how to feel. Parents can give their opinion and advice, but can't tell their kids who to love. All we as parents can do is hope that we have taught our kids well and that they will make good decisions in life.

YES, but there is an age limit to it, so start when your kids are little and talk to them about what love and being friends really is. Stay with it.
I did break up some of my kids romances and friendships until their 19th year. I was lucky and had to be strong and firm and had to have good reasons, not just cause I didn't approve of the other person.
Reasoning with kids involves lots of give and take: Give lots of love, patience and understanding. Take all the annoying, obnoxious and rude behavior and comments they throw at you.
Kids grow up fast and in their twenty's your good parenting skills will shine through as they make their way in the world applying the skills and advise provided by you. Your voice will reach them no matter how far from home they go.

well it al depends i mean f you like a real dumb guy that does real dumb stuff then they can but otherwise i dont think that they can because i mean no one told them to love or not love the person they are married to i mean i cant just walk up to someone and say " love that person" i mean its totally wrong and kids have there own right when parents have there own too! Let a kid live love and stay happy because mabe the parens is making a girl/guy like a girl/guy and they dont really know the person they want there kids to love and that kid may be even dumber so it all depends give more details please

until the child leaves the nest I feel the parents can tell them when to take a sh*t and when not to...The clothe you and feed you , They gave you life, they also know better. So I say yes should be able to tell you who you can and can't love...

parents have no say in who there kids can or can't love. they don't know what kind of person you want. even tho they think they can they can't, because we can't tell them who they can and can't lover what gives them the right to tell us.

no way it is so not right.. love is an uncontrolable feeling and your parents have no control over who you like.. ok if your 5 then yeah but if your really dating its not their choice its yours. they dont know the person as WELL as you so there for they cant make the deciesion.

no. as be in 13 i no how it fells and i just agree and still love who i want. u may go through rough times but it will all be behind u. so just do what your heart say's.

If by tell you mean "order" you, then no. But the can guide you to make choices that would be best for you.
