Let's do a comparison and let you decide for yourself.
ZO6: This car has incredible acceleration ( 0-60 in 3.9 sec and
0-100 in 8.8 ). It is also a very light car at 3150 lbs. The engine has 505 bhp @ 6300 rpm. With 14 inch disks in the front and 13.4 inchers in the rear the ZO6 can go from 60-0 in 109 ft. The base price is $65,000.
SRT10: The Viper can accelerate from 0-60 in 4.2 sec and 0-100 in 9.3. It weighs 3450 lbs. The powerful V-10 cranks out
510 bhp @ 5600 rpm. It can decelerate from 60-0 in 113 ft. The base price is $83,145.
I think th vette narrowly beats out the viper. But that's just my opinion.

ha ha don't listen to any of these people a dodge viper is much better than a crapy little zo6 , viper has more power , more torque
much more acceleration and vipers don't have governors on them and corvettes do which mean vipers can reach the speed they say they can and corvettes are nothing but a joke , just like the hole GM company .. and vipers look much better , they have better handling and they are not in the same class as the corvette , the corvette is somewhere between a sport car and a muscle car and a viper is in the super car class .

It depends
If you are going for the money...the Z06 is better.
However, straight up, the Dodge Viper is better stock.
The Z06 is turning 505 HP @ 6300 rpm while the Viper is turning 510 HP @ 5800 rpm. This shows the Viper is doing less work and putting out more power. Also, being that the Viper is putting out more HP at less rpm, it is less likely to blow the engine. The Viper also has the better engine, an 8.3L versus the Vette's 7.0L. The only factor that would allow the Z06 to even have a chance is the weight differential, which is not big enough to be a factor.

Corvette of course. It has all the creature comforts at half the price. It will walk a new viper in the quarter, and pull a better G on the skidpad. Motor Trend did a great comparison article on the two.
The Corvette is now a world class sports car scaring the Porsche and Ferrari guys. Look at the 24 hrs at LeMans.

get the corvette zo6 for sure
it out handles the viper and you get your money's worth

A Corvette Z06 simply because it will whoop anything you throw up against it. I saw a stock Corvette race a twin turbo V8 mustang with all kinds of upgrades you would imagine. You would think the mustang would have won. It got killed by the corvette.

get at ford GT for about 150 large u can run with lambos and Ferrari's and less than half the price, plus its also considered the Ferrari slayer just like its older brother the gt40. and the value wount drop as much as a vett. the vett cant get much better with out being mid eng, ford figured that out a long time ago.
