I certainly wish we could stop teaching hatred.

yah I guess you mean infants, because the children I know can be just as greedy as politicians sometimes. They need lots of attention and don't care what others need, they have to have what they want now or else you'll be sorry. They'll pinch and scratch you and have the excuse that they didn't even know what they were doing and can't control themselves. They will fight for toys with each other and even they didn't want the toy until another child had it. I mean I believe what the world needs is maturity, generosity and mutual respect. Children definitely don't take the ribbon for these qualities. I do agree though that we can be happier if we are like children, in that we see the world as a wonderous adventure, learning new things all the time and just enjoy all our senses are offering us.
I hope we all can find a balance of innocence and respect, until then I'll have to move myself to personal peace and hope the world takes a lesson from me.

This is a fabulous thought! True, children see the world with an amazing and simple innocence. We should have a similar outlook as children. How to end the problems in the Middle East? The politicians ask. A child's response "End the fighting and say your sorry!" Not THAT simple, but as we get older our brains and ideas get more complex. As adults, we think children are immature and undeveloped, but I believe that the youngest of us see thing in the way God wants us to see them. You can never go back to being a child, but you can learn from the children around you!

Alas, world peace is an impossibility, unless it is brought by a single entity controlling the entire world. Think about it, in school there are bullies, and those who defend themselves, those who want and are willing to take, and those who won't allow their stuff to be taken. A child's life is not always peaceful, for it is humanity's own nature of greed and fear which tends to disturb the peace.

Children only hate because they are taught to. So in answer to your question it is really up to adults.

You must not have any kids. Kids will lie at the drop of a hat if they think it will get them out of trouble.
