If you have to break the rock manually, one way to make the rock easier to break is to set it in a brush fire and crack it before it cools. I live on a farm in south central Ohio and we used to burn brush to create more farm space. In one of the burnpiles there was a bunch of large granite rocks weighing anywhere from 40-300 lbs. and after the fire they were soft enough that you could break them with a pickaxe with a great deal less trouble than when in a natural state. That said, I still think some of the larger equipment said before is as easy burning stuff just to break a rock.

One method is to use a heavy, long handled sledge hammer. Wear gloves, goggles and long sleeves, because the chips will fly.
If you have a heavy duty hammer drill, and bits appropriate for drilling/hammering concrete, you could bore adjacent holes in the rock, then insert a heavy metal or wooden wedge and hit that with the sledge to break apart the rock.
If it were winter, you could pour water in the holes and let it freeze. Since the water expands upon freezing, it might break the rock apart.

Take it to the stone countertop cutting company. They use large diamond tipped saw to cut granite, marble, stone, etc. After they slice your rock into 3 inch slabs, you can remodel your kitchen. New countertops and floor that match.
Or try dropping a 1000 pound steel wrecking ball on it from about 50 feet high.

Use a long-handled sledge hammer. it may take a few swings but it'll eventually break into smaller peices.
