Abstinence is when u give up something, often sex. U don't have to be an virgin to practice abstinence u can make the choice at any time. It's the safest way to ensure u don't get pregnant or get any sexually transmitted diseases.

Abstinence is when you make a decision not to have sex. Abstaining from sexual intercourse. It isn't anything that can be used. It is a smart choice, especially for someone who doesn't know what it is!

Its not how it is used its how it is done, abstinence is staying away from sexual intercourse the best possible way to know how to stay away from sexual activity if its something you enjoy is to see a counselor to talk about family planning.
