God put each and every one of us here on earth to take a journey and to overcome obstacles in life as a learning experience. Helping people along the way and being a good person is part of the journey. You will have many great things happen to you if you do this and God will have a grand place for you when you go home (heaven). What goes around comes around. How you live your life reflects the way your life is headed. Do good and good things will happen to you....always....maybe not now...but it will.

There may be a reason, an "intelligent designer", a purpose. There might not. But questions like this always make me think of this quotation:

"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves ... Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps, then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."

The question you ask has plagued humanity for thousands of years. The immediate answer would be to look within yourself for you are your own separate being, but this leads to self indulgence and pride. The scheme of the world is much too great for us to figure out our own destiny by self evaluation. The answer lies within a creator who put us here by his love so that we also may love this creator I call God. The order of the universe points to God. The depravity of mankind actually corroborates the lack of evidence for the idea of looking within yourself.

We are her to be a reflection. The whole universe in all its magnificence was created for God. people are His most potentially reflective creation. As with anything that has great potential, people can be perverted. the purpose of humanity is to reflect God. In the way we treat each other, the world around us, and ourselves we can reflect Him. We can also do the exact opposite and squander our potential, causing destruction to ourselves, each other, and the world around us. The question you are asking isn't why, but how. How have you reflected recently?

It's funny how we over look the most simplest explanation... the Universe. It has everything in it, from start to finish. In my opinion, Gods were more tangible than the Universe in the mind of humans because we seek likeness in our answers.

With the combination of every things, everything can exist.

We are here because we have something specific we want to learn. We decide what circumstances we need to learn that lesson and who we want to learn with (we pick our parents and other people in our lives we plan to come back with). There are somethings that can only be learned here - and there are so many different things, I think we come back time and again (like different classes or virtual reality games).

Peace!

To experience. Every day in which we learn, see, or do something new is a day that we have truly lived. If we add nothing to our life experience, we may as well not be here.
