Well, depends on how you look at this question. Is anyone "worth" 10,000 times more than anyone else? No. Even if you make 10,000 more in salary or stocks, I don't think the CEO is worth more. But, one could argue that the decisions that a CEO makes (invest in new technology, buy another firm, hire great talent to reinvent the firm, etc.) can affect the value of a company by 10,000x than an average employee can. So if you believe that workers should be paid for the effect they have on the firm, you might argue that you should reward a CEO 10,000x than an average employee.

Yes, look at Bill Gates and I am sure he was worth more than 10,000 the average CEO employee when he was still CEO of his company.

YES!
Stock options- make a company's stock in high demand.
Price go's up, worth go's up.
Great leaders in the world of free enterprise get big buck.
Sometimes they go to jail for being trick-steers.
But yes, and many are worth 5-10-15-100-500-and up millions.
But the working class family employee hopes to have his 150.000 house paid off before age 65.
That's for real- Just ask anyone in middle America

There is absolutely no way for a CEO to be worth 10.000 times
the average company employee.

No.
Why does the term "Embezzlement" come to my mind?
Er!!!! Without punishment. Naw! How does Conspiracy
to Defraud sound? Or!! How about Legalized Theft?
I'm just trying to find a term to Justify the Un-Godly
Raiding of Corporate Funds. Again, Where is our Government that is supposed to protect the American People from this Dirty action?
As far as Bill Gates goes, He certainly is not worth the 50 Billion dollars he took from the Company. That money came from a bunch of people who bought overpriced products from Microsoft. Don't listen to the tripe about Research Costs. And, Don't tell me about the good he
is doing now with his Billions.

No. That is why everything costs so much. They won't take cuts, but FORCE CUTS for the working man. They have to get that $50 mil pension. They can't settle for $5 mil.
If they would take cuts, EVERYONE would benefit.
Workers would have less responsibility and less stress because of the lessened work load. (because they could afford to hire more workers) Workers would be AT WORK more because they could afford good insurance. Workers would also be more loyal. Workers could be paid more and receive more benefits. And lastly, the products' prices could go down. That helps the economy. But alas, people are greedy. That is why nobody will ever take my advice.
Maybe we should band together into a group that would bring this to the attention of the people of America. Maybe if we showed it for what it is, people would get the idea and LISTEN.
Peace,
Jon

He is the main brain behind any company, he may not work now, but anybody at his earlier stages will work for his career growth. May be he's not worth 10,000 times but is worthful than the workers in all means

I don't begrudge anyone for making money or how much. What makes me sick is how some treat others.
Also, notice how a company's stock goes up with layoffs. I understand why, but WHY?

HERE IS MY THOUGHT ON THIS ISSUE: THE CONSEVATIVES AND RIGHT-WINGERS IN THIS COUNTRY LOVE TO POINT OUT THAT EVERYONE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE LOTS OF MONEY AND ACHIEVE AN AFFLUENT STATUS THRU HARD WORK AND A GOOD EDUCATION. (I ALSO BELIEVE IN THE TOOTHFAIRY)
THEY ALSO ARE FOND OF POINTING OUT THAT THE WEALTHIEST AND MOST POWERFUL AMONG US ALSO PAY THEIR "FAIR SHARE" OF TAXES AND THEY SEEM TO CONSTANLY STRIVE TO FIND WAYS OF REDUCING THIS "BURDON".
SO, MY POINT IS, COMING FROM A MIDDLE-CLASS,
"WORKING-POOR" BACKGROUND IS SOME VERY SIMPLE MATH:
20% TAXATION ON A 35K YEARLY SALARY
LEAVES APPROX. 28K INCOME
25% TAXATION ON 5MIL. YEARLY INCOME
STILL LEAVES ...........3.75MIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!
IN A NUTSHELL, THIS IS UNFAIR, INEQUITABLE, AND THE REASON WHY I WOULD ABSOLUTELY JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO PUT A BULLET IN THE BACK OF THE HEADS OF PEOPLE LIKE JEFFREY SKILLING AND KEN LAY (AND THEIR ILK)
WHAT THIS COUNTRY TRULY NEEDS IS AN AMERICAN
BASTILLE DAY!!!
