My first record was a 45 of the Beatles, "Hard Days Night", and I was 10 at the time. Next was "Help". One of those had the flip side "Kansas City". My first album was a Beatles album. For a long time I only bought Beatles.

I bought a KTEL album with Pat Benetar, Kiss, and stuff I cannot remember now. Bought with own money when I was 10. That woulda been in '82. The only thing I had to play it on was my Holly Hobbie record player (yikes !)

Mine was 'The Smurfs All Star Show', I think I was about 7 or 8. :) I've still got it AND I still like the smurfs! That's not the most embarrassing album I've ever bought though, I'm not going to say on here what it was. :)

My first album was "Purple Rain" by Prince. I was seven years old. It was amazing.
Being a bit of a "slightly-old duffer" myself, I believe you are referring to X-Ray Spex.
