sexy_gemini90,

The NBA is all about matchups and timing. It appears that Miami caught the Pistons just when they were at their lowest point of the year. They suffered injuries for the first time, Rasheed and Rip Hamilton both had ankle sprains. Billups and Ben Wallace were banged up. The Pistons set a NBA record this year for starting the same starting five for 73 games this year!

Now it appears that Dallas is playing at its peak. Stackhouse, Harris and Howard were all hurt at various times this year and now they're all healthy. It appears, at least for the time being, that Dallas is staked loaded and ready for Miami.

But as a Pistons fan, I know this series isn't over until the games are all played out. Let's stay tuned.

Mutiple reasons. One the Mavericks are one of the deepest teams in the league. When you have Jerry Stackhouse coming off the bench then you know you're good. They also have a different start every night so its hard to contain one guy. One night its Dirk, the next Jason Terry, the next Stack, etc. They also have great team chemistry under Avery. The Heat don't have ANY chemistry, they all play like they all want to be the star (Except D-wade and lately Shaq). The Mavs have also learned how to play Defense, so not only can they score a bunch but they can stop people too. Finally beating the Pistons wasn't that big of a deal. The Pistons were worn out from the Cavs taking it to 7.

The Detroit Pistons had the best big line-up in basketball. But Miami had the most dominant big man in the game. The Mavs like to use their quickness and perimeter game on offense and the power double-team on defense. The match-up against Detroit was good for Miami because they had the right team personality of the big men to defeat Detroit. Dallas is a completely different team with a completely different strategy. Miami will lose this series in 5 games simply because their personnel will not be able to guard the quicker, bigger Mavs.

It's a bit of a misconception that the Pistons were the best team in the league. Yes, they had the best record in the league during the regular season, but as soon as the playoffs rolled around it's as if they forgot how to play basketball. This is due to the new coach, Flip Saunders, who never got passed the first round in Minnesota. Dallas has a deeper bench and is bigger all around than Miami. Dallas is a complete team. Miami is two guys who took advantage of a tired Pistons squad.

I have no idea! I know that the health issues with Wade are defnitely present whether or not the franchise wants to admit it. Also, the stigma that they have a bad record against the Mavericks may be a subconcious obstacle they need to overcome. Lastly, the Mavs are a bit stronger and more flexible than the Pistons are. That's why they're in the Finals.

Those are my two cents.

There is not such a thing as easy, now without insulting the pistons, the way they have been playing in this playofss they should not even been in the conf finals, now the mavs have better competition and did better than the Heat, but the main reason and so simple one is that they did more each game than the Heat, by either playing better or playing harder or smarter any way that you can imagine ...

Because the Heat don't play basketball the way it was meant to be played, as a TEAM.Instead, they rely on two players to do everything.

Here's what I think of the Heat players:

Wade is good, Walker is an obnoxious arrogant ***, Payton is a bitchy complainer, and Shaq is a freak of nature with no skills, only height and weight...and yes, I am a Dallas fan.

No it won't be, sexy. Dallas is a more aggressive and offensive team than Pistons. They are too fast for Miami, it will take a miracle for Miami to beat Dallas.

Detroit is a great defensive team but didn't have the fire needed to beat Miami.

Because the Mavs are better than the Pistons (and the Heat, too, as we've seen through two games).
