This depends on the circumstances. If it's family and kids are involved, a big tub will handle three little kids and one adult easily enough. (Course, the kids might want their own bags, but for the purposes of the question, let's just reckon you've bought one tub.) As far as dating goes, one bag shared by two is very romantic and shows that you're willing to share more than just popcorn if the need and desire arises. Going stag, there's no need to share. In fact, when I go to the movies, I usually don't buy popcorn at all. But, when I'm treating the family and money's tight, one extra large tub can handle four people who measure their eating time.

I prefer to go to movies alone so I suppose I share with no one, not when it comes to my popcorn!

5 my entire family once when I was small.. Now I know about germs.. I don't eat popcorn or anything not organic. lol

I am the only one that will stick my hand in the popcorn bucket...It gross's me out to think of someone else stickin their nasty hands in it!! YUCK!!!
