Sure I think it will. Whenever there is a woman who is qualified for the job and the stress and is able to win over the American people, than yes, of course, I think one will be elected. :) And it probably will happen during our lifetime.

Yeah, it'll happen. England's had a female Prime Minister, Germany currently has a female Chancellor, and the United States can't be too far behind. It may not be the next election (almost certainly not, actually), or the one after that, but I imagine it will be soon. The American public will vote a woman in when a qualified candidate steps up to the plate... and there are plenty of female voters to help make it happen.

Certainly. For now there seems to be no acceptance in our society for a woman to be able to "handle" the job. We put blind faith in all of our presidents when we vote. Unless it is a re-election, we don't know what kind of job they will do when put under the daily pressures to run an entire country. Gender has nothing to do with what kind of president a person will be!

I pray to God that it never happens in the US. It has happened in other countries. It's all in the hands of the voters. President Michelle Bachelet Jeria of Chile is the most recent addition to the list of female presidents. A piece of me will die the day America has a woman president.

There has to be a break through in other for that to happen. The American people are set on who they want to see as president, an older white male. It does not matter if they're stupid.(Bush)

Its already happening globally in both Africa and Europe, so I sooner rather than later. However we're still uncomfortable electing anyone other than white protestant males, let alone blacks, Jews, Catholics, hispanics, asians, etc... America is just backwards like that...

Judging from the quality of the defamatory remarks made about Hillary (who I am no fan of either) I don't think America is open-minded enough for a woman president. Instead of attacking her with facts she is attacked on things such as sexual positions with her crooked hubby and having menage a trois with Bill & Monica.

The UK had Margaret Thatcher. Why would a female US President be so hard to imagine?

I wouldnt see why not. Women can be the president. They can't do any worse than Bush.
