Is she just trying to make a buzz so that her book will sell? Or is she really just a heartless, cold, insensitive conservative?

and why does she (and others) keep defending her by pointing at the Clintons? Is that a typical defensive response? Deflecting criticisim by trying to point the finger at others?

Buzz -- outrageous statements (like telling a disabled Vietnam vet, "People like you are what caused us to lose that war") get her attention and fired, which gets her more attention.

David Carr, who profiled her in the New York Times, wrote:

"Does she believe any of this stuff? I doubt she even knows. When I profiled Ms. Coulter a few years ago, I never figured out the line between her art and her artifice. ...

Her sincerity is beside the point as long as people keep taking the bait."

That's pretty much how I feel.

She's an egocentric elitist. The reason pretty much any pundit publishes a book is to make a lot of money. No one is going to pick up her book in hopes of find a compelling political argument. Conservatives will read it to feel better about their chosen position by knowing there are others that share their views. The same reason Liberals read Al Franken, but at least he is pretty funny.

She is a terrible person for playing on peoples weakness, but a brilliant marketer for the same reason.

But seriously, why does she have to appear on the cover...the latest one makes it look like a fitness book. She is gross...I was always taught not to make fun of one of God's creations, but apparently I don't believe in God, so...let 'em fly!

She has a bad habit of telling the unvarnished truth.

And before you go on about 'heartless, cold, insensitive conservatives, check out the Clintons' track record..

She is trying to make a buzz so that her book will sell because she really is a heartless, cold, insensitive, and let's not forget arrogant, conservative.

All of the above. She's insane but smart in that by writing what she did, she created so much hype around her book that it's flying off the shelves. Not because people agree with her but because people want to see how outlandish she can be. Unfortunately, it's making her more money which is probably one of the worst things that could happen. It's sickening

She is sick, I watched the Larry King Show last night and they were talking about her, there was one conservative that stood up for her and her book, but like they said on the show, she is selling books, her book is # 1 on Amazon.
So she is getting her publicity.

She is right. There are so many out there like Moore, Baldwin, Frankin, Clinton, Gore, etc, etc, etc that want us to be European in nature that she is trying to tell the Conservative, Right-Wing Truth. She tells it like it is and people are so out of touch with things it seems like she is way out there in right field.

A quack! Either kinda stupid (her arguments are weak) or just like everyone else she's got some deep psychological needs trying to be fulfilled through her lopsided aggression.

Ignore her. I haved vowed never to speak her name or write it. Even the most vile name I can think of just wouldn't be bad enough for her. And starting now, I'll never even give as much thought as I did just now.
