This question cannot be answered simply. I put in a 500 sq. ft patio last summer. UniLock sells all sizes, shapes and colors of pavers. You can look them up on the internet to see if there's one near you. Lowe's also sells pavers and has a guide that will tell you how many pavers you need per sq ft. as well as how much sand and gravel. That's the easy part. I suggest making a small investment and purchase a "how to" book on building brick patio's. I purchased many and took bits and pieces of information from each one.

Level the ground extremely well.
Pour sand over the area where the patio is going to be and again spread it level and pound it down with a tamper.
Place the bricks in close fashion in whatever type array you prefer.
Pour sand mix in between the cracks and sweep the residue away.
