Maybe both; unless it's a little 1 sided of course, or if neither are actually as in love as they think! In my hiumble opinion its best that you both leave your own areas and lives so you have the best chance of beginning a new one together- if not then its usually the one who HAS moved that suffers first and who is ~@ a big disadvantage from the off (not knowing people; worse still is not knowing the people who your new partner may have known 4 yrs, is ****-take it from me!) There's also not knowing the area and the biggest by far for me was being away from MY loved ones and friends while watching my fella 24-7 in the loving bosom of HIS. Meet in the middle if you both mean so much to the other!

Well it isn't as cut and dry as you make it out to be. I would have to say that because the children are grown and you didn't mention her working that the woman would move. If the man moved and the woman didn't have a job what would they use as an income if the man couldn't find a comparable job.

I think man should move since he has less stuff to move and locating the kids would be kinda difficult (of course depends on the ages) She wouldn`t wanna leave her kids anyways, Best way Man should move.

It has zero to do with male or female, and 100% to do with current life situation.

I say the person who will have the least dramatic impact in their life by changing their geography.

It works out best when one partner wants to make the change in local.

a mutual decision, not only based on money, but also the kids, and so forth, would be best. maybe all could get a fresh start and have both move!
