If you're asking for the best brand, I'd have to say Prismacolor Colored Pencils are the best. I've used those for years, and they make everything look smooth and realistic.

People do awesome things with colored pencils. Don't buy the cheap ones the pricier ones are worth it!

Please be more specific. Colored pencils make great coloring tools. They are more vibrant and less messy then crayons. The crayola brand is the best! I use them all the time when I draw and make school projects. My favorite color is blue. Does one of these statements answer your "question".

I am a fan of water color pencils if I must use them, they are a lot more mailable and can give different textures.
