Expect to see a wet diaper every few hours, but the poopy ones get less frequent as baby matures and processes food more efficiently. If you are nursing, the "explosive" quality of baby's deposits will also get a lot less violent. Congratulations on your new baby! It's a little off topic, but if baby is still struggling with gassy issues, the simethicone anti-gas products you can buy in any drug store are great. They are safe, provide instant relief, and have no scary dosage limits. P.S. - ignore the replies from anyone who doesn't understand your question - it IS a good one.

Thats normal. As they get older they do stop pooping as much. Formula also start making babies kind of constipated because of all the iron. Just be happy that you don't have top change as many poop diapers. my son is 11/2 almost two and for the last 10 months almost ...I only have to change 1 or 2 poop diapers a day!!!!!

As they get older, most babies will start to have less. Many newborns and breast fed babies start out pooping nearly every feeding. As they get older, it tends to drop down to between 3 a week and 3 a day on average, though it varies quite a bit from baby to baby. As long as the bowel movements are soft, mushy or formed, but not hard or pebbly, then most likely the baby's bowel patterns are just maturing.
Good Luck!

Ugh i know how you feel, i went through the same thing with my son, His doctor said that its normal for some babies not to go any more then every other day. If you get worried or stressed or you think your child is hurting over it Put a little bit of clear Karo syrup in her bottle (which my doctor also recommended) . Or if all else fails try dipositories. Hope i helped.

Should have one a day, but not always. She'll be fine, just watch her to see she's not too uncomfortable. If so, we have given ours some prune juice and water (1/2 and 1/2"). This usually does the trick.
Formula seems to bind mine up, so we need to flush the system every 2 or 3 days.

Yes poopy diapers get less as the child gets older. They should urinate frequently.

6.375 per day.
Seriously, it all depends on the baby. If you're breastfeeding, then your baby more than likely poops more often than a formula-fed baby. (Breast milk is a natural laxative, so breastfed babies rarely get constipated.)
You're lucky...poop doesn't smell good no matter how you look at it, but breast feed babies' poop doesn't smell as BAD as formula fed babies' poop. Both my boys were formula babies, and completely different. My older son used to poop three or four times a day, and was lightish colored, and my younger son poops once a day (if that) and it's very dark.

My son started as a newborn going a few times a day, then after a few weeks, it slowed down to everyother day. now he eats jar foods, and he goes 4-5 times a day. As long as the baby's belly is soft, and she doesn't seem to be in pain, she should be fine.

Totally normal. It's even normal for them to skip for a few days. Just watch her and make sure she's not in pain or distress. If you notice she's more irritable than usual as they lessen, you should take her to the dr. just to be safe.
