My check engine light came on and the Auto Zone guy said that it was my engine coolant temperature sensor. It's safe to drive. I drove it. My car started smoking, come to find out my radiator has blown due to no water. Which as happened before and there was water inside. What to do?

well to be honest take it to a radiator shop to see if they can rod it out.rodding out will clean it and they can see if it is worth repairing by brassing.if it has too many big holes in it buy a new radiator.its better than trying to repair the old one.since you ran the engine without water you better check the engine too.put in a new radiador for sure and fill it with coolant.i have some more bad news if your engine was running before your break down the heat may have really screwed your engine. it could have warped the heads and moving parts like your piston rods and push rods for your valves and your valves may be warped as well.

oooooooooo. very bad. Depending on how long you drove it, you may have warped the heads on the block, due to lack of coolant. Call the mechanic and ask. Depending on the year of the vehicle, and how much you like it it, you may not want to do the repair. If the heads went, it is an expensive fix. :( If you lucked out, and you just need a new radiator, it could run you a couple hundred bucks. New heads are MUCH more expensive.

Walk. Or get a new car. Or for crying out loud, learn to check your water levels and be responsible for your car.

Stop driving the car until you can get a new radiator in it.
To get it to a shop you'll need to get it towed!
