you can start with a mix album... its a great way to introduce you into various styles of older rock. I have an album that has everything from Santana to Bruce Springsteen, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Heart, Cheap Trick, Meatloaf, Elvis Costello, The Clash, Judas Priest, Journey, Boston, Pink Floyd, Soul Asylum, Ozzy, Korn, Oasis, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Bob Dylan. I will be able to help you figure out what you like in rock.
Hope it helps!

Try Burnin for You by Blue Oyster Cult, or Don't Fear The Reaper. If you're just starting to listen to The Beatles, get one of their greatest hits albums. Queen is also a good band to listen to, The Seven Seas of Rhye is a good song.

If you have access to Sirius go to the station called Buzzsaw, they play a great mix of old rock that is very pleasant on the ears.
I think you can play it online with a demo

Its good to have variety but don't give up all music. I was like that when I was growing up. Liked rock/alternative, then pop, then dance then went to rap/ and R&B.

Get into early Don McLean and he will blow you away. If you fancy true country get an original Hank Williams - fantastic. That should keep you contented and busy for a few days, or weeks etc.
