Why is everthing so black and white?

Question

Every other question i run across its about race. And its always something negative, why? And the sad part is its not coming from none other then a white person. Wake up people it is not 1940 or whatever we arent seperated anymore!

for those of u gettin mad and thinkin its just me, if u have some free time on your hands read some of the qst i answered and u would see. I just hate trying to defend wht seems like myself whn i aswer these things.

look dear, i dont mean to be rude by this answer, because i actually agree with you. i think we are seperating are selfs. why can black people have their own channel and college fund?? if white people did that, it would be racism, and it would be illegall. blacks are seperating themselves from us. they act like they gotta stick together cuz their black. but if they just forgot about all of that, im sure white peole would too. and some blacks acuse people of "actin black". if they want us to be the same, they gotta stop actin lik that. And my applause to eminem. he did a "black persons job". i mean they refer to him as "the white rapper". they dont call Kanye west "the black rapper", so why does eminem have to have a name?? i actually think eminem is helping to break the racial gap. Also, on television, most the shows star black people (which is perfectly fine), but they make the white person look like the idiot, or the uncool one. The black person always has to be the cool one, and the white one has to be the fool. Don't get me wrong, alot of people of both races find the racial comedies (white and black jokes) funny, but are they really helping?? One of my favorite episodes is one of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". A rich black family meets their relative's white fiancee. They judge him at first, but find out he is really no different. I think that when we look past the skin color, and how we lael ourselves, we can find we are very alike. Some white people need to accept that blacks are just as capable as getting a job as they are. Some black people need to accept that they aren't the coolest, or hottest race. Society often has to label blacks as being more "pimp" and "fly" then white people. i think not having many white people in the mainstream music buissiness has alot to do with this. Hip-hop is todays popular genre, and it is mainly black dominated. when a white person breaks into this industry, they are criticized because they are acting black. And why is it stereotyped that black women have big butts?? some do, but lots of white people do also!! you cant watch a telvision show without hearing some kind of racial joke about a black women's rear end and how whites are "anorexic," Once again, no offense, but that is how i feel both races can work together to create more unity.

We will always be separated as races, That is the way it was intended to be. The real problem is that we focus too much on it and not what or who a person really is. I find that the blacks are the ones keeping the negative feeling alive. They seem to piety themselves and seem to think everyone else should too. I have found that alot of blacks are highly prejudice against whites. Look at tv. every single show out there that is primarily black orientated is designed to make the white person look like a fool. Turn about is NOT fair play. It just makes thing worse. All of us need to think about that. Every one must treat each other with respect and understanding. Not just Whites or blacks, but everyone. None of us are any better than anyone else. None of us owe anybody anything. We are all in control of our own lives, only we can make it better, nobody can or should do it for us.

I agree with you. Human beings seem to want to categorize people. I don't know if it makes them feel better or what. I always hate that you have to pick your ethnicity on certain paperwork. What if you are blended and don't fit into a category? Things aren't just black and white. There is a ton of grey area!

Not just whites are guilty of it. When I was in my interracial marriage, I received way more prejudice from the ethnic side of the family.

I have looked at many questions in this forum! Most are not about race. The ONLY one that brings it up is people like yourself that have some kind of axe to grind. What is your problem? If you ask to be treated differently then you will. Get a life young lady!

We never were separated except in our own imperfect hearts and minds. Prejudice and hatred are a part of the human condition because we do not follow God's law to love one another as He first loves us. When we all do that, then there will be no more hatred of any religion, culture or people.

maybe you notice it more when it comes from a white person. I am married to a black man and I am Ukrainian (Russian Jewish) and I hear things and get treated bad by both sides..the more rude being by blacks. Now, I'm not saying more blacks are intolerant but what I am saying is that blacks seem to be more outspoken and bold.

perhaps you are unaware of the negativity of your comments. You just made it black and white. Those attitudes will get you nowhere in life. People make choices and choices make people. If you dwell on the negative and the differences of the races, you are perpetuating racism. period.

There are still ignorant people out there that can not see or comprehend that we are all the same regardless of the color of our skin. They just need to soak in the fact that there are other races besides theirs and WE aren't going nowhere.

You use the term "everything" and the only common denominator I see in your "always" and "every" is... you.

Maybe it's not these other folks but rather the listener that perceives bias and racism in others.

get a damn clue. its not just white poeple. I am not racist at all. I get treated differently by every race, white, black, asian, mexican..etc. WAKE UP AND TAKE IN THE FACT THAT JUST BC YOUR BLACK EVERY WHITE PERSON IS AGAINST U!
