Lived in Warsaw for a year & there is tons of stuff to do & see. Definitely check out the Old Town, the Palac Kultury. Plac Konstitucji has some cool architecture. Lazienki Park is very nice too with a very cool outdoor amphitheatre. Nowy Swiat is a very cool street. If you're into WWII history, do NOT miss the Gestapo Headquarter museum in the Ministry of Education at al.Szucha 25. or the museum at Pawiak prison. The east side of the river has a lot of interesting sights but can be very dangerous if you look & act like a tourist. Keep ALL valuables out of sight when visiting Praga (the east side of the river) and don't go there at night!

Don't go to the Warsaw ZOO, it stinks!
In Warsaw you'll enjoy Lazienki Park - it's huge, beautiful, full of surprises.
Bring some old bread to feed the enormous carp fish living in the pond by the king's summer residence.
Also stop by the cafe there for really delicious ice-cream and desserts, or try some hard, round pretzels from a street vendors.
Enjoy.

I've heard that Warsaw is nice. Krakow is beautiful too, it's in the south, not very far from Katowice. I've been there and it was very nice there.

warsaw is awesome, i also recommend walking down a street called "nowy swiat", there's lots of stores and a bakery called blikle, which is very good but a little pricey.

katowice smells. its not a very nice city. its very industrial, there's coal mines all around it.
