Connecticut will have civil unions very soon. Domestic Partnerships are availible in the U.S. states of California, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. territory of Washington, D.C. and various local cities and counties around the country.
Abroad, legal marriage is avabilible in Canda, The Netherlands, Spain, South Africa, and Belgium.
Civil Unions or Civil Partnerships are availible in Andorra, Argentina, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia, and the Australian Capital Territory.

Massachusetts is the only state that currently allow gays to officially get married. Vermont and several other states allow civil unions for gay couples which confer some of the (but not all of) the legal protections a married couple has. Gay marriage is legal in Canada, Spain, several other countries, and civil unions conferring all the legal protections conferred to married couples are legal in England.

As of June 2006 in the United States, Massachusetts recognizes same-sex marriage, while California, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey and Vermont grant persons in same-sex unions a similar legal status to those in a civil marriage by domestic partnership, civil union or reciprocal beneficiary laws.
Same-sex marriage is legal nationwide in Canada, The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and, most recently, South Africa.

I believe Vermont is the only state that allows it. Being a stright man though, I couldn't tell you for certain. I do remember a news report about it a couple years back though.
