Do not touch the babies or the nest. If you do the mom will eat them, Thats her way of protecting them. You cannot clean the cage for at least 2 weeks. (stinky mess, i know) Make sure you feed the mom some healthy snacks like boiled egg, cheese, apples, bananas, etc. Also, put her cage in a quiet room and cover the top with a cover(like a blanket, sheet, towel) and dont disturb her. The babies will be weaned in 2 1/2-3 weeks. You will start to see them eating and drinking from the water bottle. Also, out a piece of unscented toilet paper so she can make her a soft nest. They keep the babies covered in the paper. She will love it.Good luck!!

You dont take care of them, Their mother does. In about 2 1/2 weeks you need to sex them and seperate them (males in one cage, Females in another. If there syrian hamsters i think you would want to seperate them a week or 2 after the sexing as they will kill each other be sure to watch them closely.
If there dwarves they would probley be fine living together Males with males females with females. If you have any more ?'s Im me and i will try my best to help. Also, If i didnt give enough info Go to www.petshub.com its forums and there is a hamster forum.

that happened with my hamsters too!!
what u do is seperate the hamsters that were there,
if there are 2 females you should split up the babies between them.Seperate females!
continue to feed the female[s] as normal and the mother will take care of them. once the babies grow up u should should put them into pairs or just one into seperate cages.
hint:I used ice cream pales[family size...poke holes in lid for air]
but don't try to play with them while they are still in their mother's care...the mother could become agressive towards you.
Make sure to keep the males out of the cages while babies are in mother's care
have fun with your new hamsters and enjoy them!!

Put them aside or they will be a good substitue for the O's... a treat my hamster loved... they will get eaten if left with the mother... just get some wood chips and put them aside in a cage/box and hand feed them with a bottle just like a baby.. or again the alternative is the mother has some fresh baby back ribs.. your choice.

take the males out of the cage. DO NOT disturb the mother- she will eat her young if stressed. Cover 1/2 the cage with a blanket for privacy.

the best thing to do would be to take them to the place you got your first hamster because the hamster will eat her babies and that would not be pretty!
