I purchased a diamond ring. The stone came loose three times. Two times the jeweler claims to have fixed the problem and said that he would re make the setting if the stone came loose again. The stone came loose a third time and the ring was re made with a new setting, however he changed the design of the setting without letting me know. Needless to say I was very unhappy. My ring went in as a custom design and came out as a regular design with modifications. He refused to do anything else for me in order to make it back to the original design and the stone was still loose.

Tell him you will report him to the Better Business Bureau. He won't want that on his record. Some TV stations offer consumer help. See if you can find something like 7 on Your Side in your area.
Have you paid in full? If not, stop payment on the check.
