I keep clicking sleep but it keeps on working and even when I leave it on for a while it still keeps on working thus wasting my batteries any idea why or how I can fix this?

You need to reset it. Don't worry, the music won't dissapear, Itunes will automatically reload your music back on. :-)

Well i have an ipod nano and 2 switch it on i hold the play button at the bottom for about 5 seconds then i press hold-see if that works!

My does the same exact thing. You will have to called the maker of the ipod. I was the on the site for hours (apple.com) but that did not work. If you have a ipod mini like my boyfriend has, they are a defective. You might have to get them to send you another one.
