... how did this effect your sex life and did you desire your partner less, having witnessed this ordeal? Did it put you off?
I mean this strictly in the sense of sexual desire, not love in general.
I'm curious.

This is not about me... lol... a friend of mine told me he has problems since he saw all the blood and slime, and my husband said, like most of you, that sex was not what he thought about when helping me through the delivery. He said that it was a great experience and that it has enhanced his desire and love for me. I was just curious what the majority of men think, because it has occupied my mind a lot.

Having watched my wife give birth to our Daughter was the most amazing thing you could see! Naturally during this sex was the farthest thing from my mind. After 6 weeks, we couldn't wait to make love again! It never put me off or changed my desire for her in any way! You just have to know when and how to seperate certain things that happen in life and this is one of them.
Some men aren't capable of doing this and it does affect them.
Great question!

I remember when I saw my wife give birth the first time and I thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world. Did it change my desire afterwards...heck no. My wife is still hot to this day.

Remember though, every person is different and you have to ask yourself what is the real reason why the other person has lost interest. Could be a number a reasons, like having to grow up and take care of the kids. Just my opinion. Best wishes.

You know, sex was about the second to last thing on my mind during that delivery. Afterwards there was so much to do and to learn and the wounds had to heal that it felt like ages when we first had sex after birth. The actual delivery had become kind of a faded memory by then.
No, I wouldn't say it put me off. Except for that little thought of "how could I have done this to her?"

From a non-sexual view - it was awesome and I would not give up the chance for the world.
From a sexual view - we were married for eight years when I got to watch the birth. I don't feel that it has damaged my desire, but I'll tell you what did: the pounds put on almost immediately after the vows.

I watched my ex wife have all four of our children. I believe I desired her and loved her more for sharing that experience with me. There was not a sexual inkling during actual birth, but when she was ready, our love making was heightened. Good Luck!

After watching my wife give birth twice, I began to admire her more and more for her strength. As a result, I became more in love with her, if that was indeed possible, and I became even more attracted to her. And yes, she still turns me on!

No. I thought the actual birth was disgusting, but it didn't change anything sexually. I don't think about it when having sex.

Kind of put me off oral until things were back to normal after the birth.

Didn't change anything but I could've strangled him when he told the doctor to add a few extra stitches. Now talk about embarrassing!!
